Todd Sharp

Chief Operating Officer/Program Director/Owner

All of my life I had strong opinions about addicts. They were choosing to live that way or so I thought. When my seemingly perfect life as a successful collegiate coach and reality television personality started to fall apart, deeply hidden trauma surfaced to the top.

Turns out I was an addict my entire life, but it didn’t manifest itself in drugs until I was in my late 40s. Daily IV use of methamphetamine left me in deep psychosis, seeing no way out, truly wanting to die. The fact that I am clean and alive today amazes me. As much as I regret the pain I caused my family and those that love me I am forever grateful for my recovery journey. Today I am still a coach, but now I coach others on their path to recovery.

Reclaim Recovery Louisville started as a dream to create a new recovery program that would be DIFFERENT ON PURPOSE helping men achieve recovery and change the overall trajectory of their lives. Today I am living that dream and I am so incredibly grateful.

Candace Durham, LCADC, CSW

Director of Quality and Compliance

“I am the Director of Quality & Compliance at Reclaim Recovery Louisville. Since October 2015, I have been in long-term recovery. I have journeyed through the darkest paths and endured deep trauma but emerged to share my story.

Finding recovery and healing my soul has granted me the chance to become the woman I always envisioned. I engage in this work because I am genuinely committed to assisting others like me. Prior to discovering recovery, my addiction impeded my ability to be someone who cared about anything beyond myself.

Today, I am a person with a master's degree in social work who has built a career helping others who have followed a similar path to mine. I take pride in educating myself on various treatment modalities for both mental health and substance use to better serve the community.

I have had the privilege of serving as the Director of Forensic Services at LifeSpring Health Systems, the Assistant Clinical Director at Reclaim Recovery, and currently, as the Director of Quality and Compliance.  In addition to that I am the mother of three amazing girls and the fiancée of an incredible man who is also in long-term recovery. Recovery restored my life and healed our family, enabling us to enjoy the wonderful life we have today.

I have also cultivated beautiful relationships in the roles of a daughter, sister, friend, and aunt. The life I lead today surpasses anything I could have imagined, and it began with the crucial steps I took to let go of the lifestyle and addiction that were holding me back. Helping others achieve the life they deeply desire is the shared mission of myself and my colleagues at Reclaim.”

Oliver Richardson,LCADC, CSW.

Director of Client Services

“I am the Director of Client Services at Reclaim Recovery Louisville, a father of a blended family of 4 children, a fiancé, a person in long term sobriety with six years, and a fierce advocate of recovery. I am a high school dropout that once I got sober, I was able to get a GED and then eventually a master’s degree with a 4.0 GPA throughout school. I am a person that has experienced homelessness, incarceration, trauma, overdose, and extreme poverty. I chose to work in addiction recovery care for all those reasons and so I can help individuals that are facing the same barriers I faced as a person trying to get sober.

One of my goals is to eliminate those barriers and deliver effective services that are practical and treat the whole individual not just the addiction because addiction impacts every part of the person. Recovery is so much more than just abstaining from substances it’s a total transformation of a person’s entire soul and being. I do this work so that I can help reunite families and end generational trauma.

Another reason I chose addiction recovery care is so maybe I can stop one more person from dying from overdose that did not need to die. In my immediate family I have lost 3 family members to overdose and that is a pain I do not want any family experience so every day I come to work to do my part to stop any family from experiencing that.

I chose this work to make a positive impact in this world that matters because someone chose this work and made that positive impact for me which saved my life and led to my family getting their son, brother, uncle, and father back.”

Shelley Wallace, BS,TCM, TCADC

Director of Targeted Case Management

“From a young age, I knew my purpose was to make a difference in others' lives. Every career assessment I took reaffirmed this, steering me towards roles in the helping professions. But it wasn't until I found myself washed up in detox that I discovered myself and my place in the world. In my own recovery I not only found myself, but I found the desire to help others achieve a healthier, happier life.

I understand the despair of feeling lost and the yearning for a life of greater meaning. There's no greater fulfillment for me than empowering others to overcome their struggles and unlock a path to wholeness and joy. My work in recovery is more than just a job – it's a chance to be a catalyst for positive change, to leave a mark on others' journeys towards healing and self-realization.

My approach to case management is rooted in the belief in the potential within every individual. I take a holistic, human-centered stance, recognizing that each person's strengths, experiences, and goals are uniquely their own. By building bonds of trust and open communication, I collaborate with clients to figure out their personal and professional interests and help guide action plans that tap into their resilience.

In this work, I'm not just a case manager – I'm an ally, an advocate, and a guide on the path to a life reclaimed.”

Cody Brohm

Director of Operations

“I am The Director of Operations, a person in long term recovery, a brother and son.  I grew up in Louisville, KY raised by a single mother that worked hard every day to provide the best life for us. Even with a good upbringing I still chose a different path experiencing homelessness, incarceration, and hopelessness.

It took years of these experiences for me to realize that there has to be something better, so on 2/6/2019 I checked into treatment.  This was the first time in my life I took something serious.

My experience in treatment plays a big part in why I decided to do this work and to continue to have empathy for each and every client that comes in our doors. After staying clean for a year, I got my foot in the door of a residential treatment center working in the kitchen and quickly moved up to a Client Care Specialist.

After paying my dues I moved to supervisor after a few years and finally found my purpose in life.

Reclaim Recovery Louisville came soon after because of the vision of Todd Sharp, giving a safe place for men struggling with addiction to thrive and be the best version of themselves.

We are different on purpose and stand behind this statement.”

Gary French, LPCA, TCADC

Director of Family Services

“First and foremost, I am a son, a grandson, a cousin, and a nephew. Because of the decision I made in July of 2020 I get to appreciate what it truly means to be present and dependable for my family.

I was a sales manager for the early stages of my career but my addiction to drugs and alcohol had different plans for me. When I washed up in a treatment center I was exposed to a whole new world. I had a therapist who made me feel heard and respected and I was surrounded by people who wanted to improve their lives.

This feeling was so inspiring that I used it as the foundation to my clinical career. Since pursuing a life in recovery, I went back to school and acquired a master’s degree in counseling and human development from Lindsey Wilson College.

Today I am an active member of the 12-step program Alcoholic Anonymous, and I am an LPCA with goals of becoming an LCADC and an LPCC. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to work with people just like me.

Being a therapist at Reclaim Recovery Louisville is a dream come true and hopefully a message of hope to anyone who feels stuck in the grips of addiction. I was always told if you love what you do then you’ll never work a day in your life.

There is absolutely a way out and there are so many people that are willing to help. I was once a lost, hopeless individual but I now have meaning, and purpose.

As a Louisville kid who has seen the impact addiction has had on this city, I never imagined being in a position to influence improvements. Through recovery I am now gifted with the opportunity to leave a positive impact on my community and that is a gift I will never take for granted.”

Chloe Jessup, CADC

Outpatient Counselor

“I am currently a certified alcohol and drug counselor at Reclaim Recovery Louisville. I graduated from The University of Louisville with a Bachelors in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice in 2020.

I was inspired to pursue a career in substance use while working with adolescents with dual diagnosis at my first post graduate job. It broke my heart to see the devastating effects of drug use and how prevalent it is in my community.

I started my career in substance use over 3 years ago, working with adult men struggling with addiction in a residential setting prior to transitioning to Reclaim Recovery Louisville.

I was inspired by seeing these men who have walked in the dark for so long take a step back into the light by being vulnerable, honest, and having the willingness to change.

I believe in multiple pathways to recovery and treating all individuals with the respect and dignity they deserve. I continue to work in this field to help spark this desire for change in those wishing to recover and guide them to the path of recovery that works best for them.”

Alexandra Thompson, LPCA, TCADC

Clinical Therapist

“I serve as a therapist at Reclaim Recovery Louisville. The greatest blessing of this job is being in a position to help foster healing in folks who have been through traumatic and stressful experiences.

People with addictions are just that - people. And they deserve the highest standard of care possible. In a world that tends to turn their heads away from folks in addiction, I hope to provide a space that allows my clients to be seen, heard, and listened to.

My dream has always been to work somewhere that clients are treated as more than just a number. I am living this dream and am so thankful to be able to work in an environment that’s different on purpose! I have struggled with my own mental health for several years and have experienced dark times.

I am familiar with the feelings of loneliness, hopelessness, and despair. I chose to become a therapist to give back to the industry that helped restore hope, peace, and gratitude in my life.

I aim to create an environment that is healing and comfortable for our clients, as well as a space where individuals feel free to be nothing other than themselves.

I believe that everyone deserves the chance to heal and learn to give themselves grace, as well as have their story be heard. I am a life-long learner and strive to grow and learn about substance use, trauma, and mental illness daily so that I may be a source of positive change and hope for every individual who walks through our doors.

My educational background includes a B.A. in Public Health and a M.Ed in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Louisville in Louisville, KY. My degree in public health introduced me to the ways our systems have failed folks, particularly people in active addiction.

I chose to pursue a master’s degree in counseling to help remove the barriers that prevent individuals from thriving, and advocate for change to create a society where healing is possible.”
